What I'm grooving to right now: Neal Morse - Sola Scriptura
10 Ladri di biciclette (The Bicycle Thief) This is a heartbreaking film. I've only seen it once, and it's still burned deep in my mind.
9. Return of the King - The scene at the end where Aragorn says to the Hobbits "My friends.... you bow to no one.". What a great moment.
8. Dances With Wolves - There were several scenes in this one. The one that stands out most is where Dunbar has to leave, and you see Wind in his Hair standing on the peak, yelling down with his respect for Dances With Wolves. It's extremely heartfelt. Kevin Costner might have struck out with his next few films like Waterworld and The Postman, but this one is a classic.
7. Whale Rider This one was great. The scene where Keisha Castle-Hughes gave that speech to her school, how could you not be brought to tears
6. My Girl/My Girl 2 - I'll combine this as a two for one.. The first movie made me cry when her friend was stung to death by the bees, and the second has a very sweet scene where she sings the classic Charlie Chaplin song "Smile" to her newborn sibling. It always gets me teary eyed. Beautiful song, beautiful scene.
5. Iron Giant - One of the best animated films of all time. How can something with Vin Diesel in it make me cry.. That is just SO WRONG....
4. Greatest Game Ever Played - There is a scene at the end where the boys father finally accepts him, and shows him that he is proud of him. I cry buckets every time I see it. Powerful scene from a sadly underrated movie.
3. Ikiru - This entire movie make me cry. When people talk of Kurosawa, they usually talk of his epic films like Seven Samurai or Ran, but this one is a under rated gem. A man coming to terms with his mortality, and finally learning how precious life is only when it is being taken away. (sobs)
2. Brians Song - The original, not the crappy watered down remake. A classic guys crying movie.
1. Field of Dreams - This one kills me every time I watch it, and for some strange reason, I think it effects me more each time. I've stopped watching it out of shame. :)
