How am I feeling, inside?: okay
What I'm grooving to right now: Neal Morse - Sola Scriptura

10 Ladri di biciclette (The Bicycle Thief) This is a heartbreaking film. I've only seen it once, and it's still burned deep in my mind.

9. Return of the King - The scene at the end where Aragorn says to the Hobbits "My friends.... you bow to no one.". What a great moment.

8. Dances With Wolves - There were several scenes in this one. The one that stands out most is where Dunbar has to leave, and you see Wind in his Hair standing on the peak, yelling down with his respect for Dances With Wolves. It's extremely heartfelt. Kevin Costner might have struck out with his next few films like Waterworld and The Postman, but this one is a classic.

7. Whale Rider This one was great. The scene where Keisha Castle-Hughes gave that speech to her school, how could you not be brought to tears

6. My Girl/My Girl 2 - I'll combine this as a two for one.. The first movie made me cry when her friend was stung to death by the bees, and the second has a very sweet scene where she sings the classic Charlie Chaplin song "Smile" to her newborn sibling. It always gets me teary eyed. Beautiful song, beautiful scene.

5. Iron Giant - One of the best animated films of all time. How can something with Vin Diesel in it make me cry.. That is just SO WRONG....

4. Greatest Game Ever Played - There is a scene at the end where the boys father finally accepts him, and shows him that he is proud of him. I cry buckets every time I see it. Powerful scene from a sadly underrated movie.

3. Ikiru - This entire movie make me cry. When people talk of Kurosawa, they usually talk of his epic films like Seven Samurai or Ran, but this one is a under rated gem. A man coming to terms with his mortality, and finally learning how precious life is only when it is being taken away. (sobs)

2. Brians Song - The original, not the crappy watered down remake. A classic guys crying movie.

1. Field of Dreams - This one kills me every time I watch it, and for some strange reason, I think it effects me more each time. I've stopped watching it out of shame. :)

I agree on so many of these. A few will end up on my own list. I think I may have to put Ikiru on my Netflix list.

YOU BIG SOFTY!

Ladri... Oh, my God, when that kid gets smacked by his dad, and his dad is so frustrated and worried, and that kid is afraid to go near him when the dad comes to his senses to apologize... oh, my god, my heart hurts... that poor little kid... and when the dad gets taken away... there is no respite, it is heartbreaking from start to finish. It makes my heart ACHE.

And in Dances with... when Wind in His Hair is yelling, "Can't you see that I am your friend?" when Dunbar is leaving... oh my GOD! I bawl like a baby every single time.

And Whale Rider... when she starts to cry to much, and she's trying to swallow her tears and go on, but she cannot finish her sentences and she toughs it out in front of her audience... oh, my God, the crying! i'm typing these scenes and CRYING RIGHT NOW!
"I love Brian Piccolo!" Oh, my God... Mark... it's a good thing we never saw these movies together. WHo would pull our selves together?!

Did you know they switched the animation to not show the forces (that are going against the robot )carrying guns? Ther are no more guns in that movie.

Are you sure you're not thinking of ET? I know Spielberg edited out the guns from that one in his anniversery edition. (and he edited out the part where the mother told the older brother that he can't dress as a "terrorist" for halloween)

I knew about ET, but...did I transfer that info onto the Robot movie? If you can research that...i wonder. I thought for certain they changed it because they were all pointing all this artillery at the kid.

DUH...The whole premise of the movie is about artillery. OK. if they got rid of that, what would be the point? You are correct; I did get my movie info mixed up.

Cry on, pally!
